believe people when they show you who they are

Not what they say they are or want to be. A warning to myself really - during this season of my life when I am not looking through rose colored glasses. Why do we believe what we want to believe instead of the characteristics are screaming out at us from the other person? And why is this a story that is prevalent in the lives of everyone you talk to? Same story - different characters. Observation is key to deciphering someone's true character. And observation takes time. Not only their actions towards you, but towards everyone and everything they come in contact with. Does their yes mean yes and their no mean no? Look for a kind heart and intense integrity.
